Tamil Nadu Medical Counselling Overview
Medical admissions in Tamil Nadu are conducted by the **Directorate of Medical Education (DME)**. There are Government Medical Colleges, Self-Financing Private Medical Colleges, and Deemed Medical Universities.
DME releases separate rank lists for **Government Quota (7.5% special reservation for govt school students, 92.5% general state quota)** and **Management Quota (including NRI)**.

Nativity Certificate Rules
To apply under Government Quota (85% State Quota), candidates must prove they are residents of Tamil Nadu.

- Candidates who did school partially outside must produce parent nativity and local certificates.
